Sanger Unified School District, Sanger, CA

Sanger Unified School District, located outside of the Fresno area, plans to comply with the new water requirements by setting up a Cambro, a refillable beverage dispenser (an example is pictured below), at each cafeteria site on a cart with disposable cups for the students.  The district has already had this in place for their afterschool programs.

The district estimates the costs to be about 2 cents per cup and the associated set-up time is about five minutes.  Food service staff puts the Cambro in a walk-in refrigerator the day before in order to chill the water.  These minimal associated costs are covered by the cafeteria fund.
